flag football

Here's Seth and his friend Dillon, following their last football game of the season.
Half time with Coach Steve.
Ready for action...
Seth's the one on the far left of the playing field. Here he's on defense as cornerback, I think.
Half time tips from Dad. Though it looks like he's sad, he was just listening intently and scratching his itchy nose. Poor kid played his game after having a fever of 102 for the two previous days. Then his sinuses got all congested and he kept scratching his nose, thinking it would help him breathe better. ;)

In summary...for the first season EVER, I think we all learned a lot about flag football. Seth grew leaps and bounds and had his first touchdown ever. We saw him improve in just about every area: throwing the ball, catching, running the routes, faking (one of his favorite things), and defending. Seth's already asked James to coach him next year, since the at-home sessions turned out to be more helpful than practices... James is just as excited as Seth!

Congratulations on a fantastic first season of Football--first touchdown and everything. Seth, you look GREAT in your uniform.
Have fun with all the cousins in the next few days. Wish I could be there with you all.

fun stuff! thanks for the pics. I love hearing/seeing what your kids are up to.

Flag football reminds me of intramural sports at the byu.

Oh congratulations & way to go on your football season Seth! Flag football looks like A LOT of fun!

Great pics Valerie! I love the one of them all ready to go with the flags pinned all around them. That's so adorable! (calling football "adorable" may be an insult to the sport - but what can I say...that's a natural instinct I guess when I see young-ones all dressed up in anything and ready to put on a show).

Fun, fun!
