We loved our trip to Virginia Beach over Spring Break!! That day, Seth told us he was going to "keep a picture of the beach in his mind forever." Even yesterday he asked when we were going back to the beach.
Yeah, we do have some beach bums...Honestly though, the beaches in Southern VA are absolutely gorgeous. Having spent time in San Diego every year, I have to say the sand here in the Mid-Atlantic is much cleaner and nicer. The weather in San Diego is beautiful though.
We've heard that the North Carolina Beaches, specifically Outer Banks is even more pristine and fabulous...so we plan on spending time down there this Summer.
Myrtle Beach is nice, too. However, I'm sure that the beaches in the south are nothing compared to those off the New York Harbor and Brooklyn. :) You definitely don't want to go barefoot out there. Further out on Long Island, the beaches truly are gorgeous, though.
We enjoyed hearing more about what the Petersons are up to. Your comments about the clean beach reminded me of our time in Somalia where the sand on the beach was at that time (24 years ago) untouched for the most part and white as snow. Those little swimmers are surely growing up too fast for this old great-grandmother!
We spent some time in Wilmington on the beach last summer and it was beautiful!! I just wish little kids didn't have so many cracks and crevices that get filled up with sand!
