rocky mountain high

We're flying to Colorado this afternoon. Back in April we found a smokin' deal, and I couldn't resist the trip. But here's the insane part: I'm going BY MYSELF with all 4 kids. I think the great price in tickets skewed my judgment here!!!

So, we leave this afternoon and we're hoping that James can escort us to the gate. The rules for "special circumstances" are pretty vague. I think an insane mother traveling alone with four children ages 8 and under qualify me as "special". LOL!

So...that's what we'll be up to for a week. James heads out on the High Adventure with the scouts tomorrow, and the rest of us will head to Colorado. Aaah...it'll be good to see mountain peaks and visit with friends. I can't wait until we're landing...should be quite a ride until then.

Wish me luck!

Fun times! The older kids are so responsible;esp. Eliza- I'm sure you will make the trip in fine style.(In fact, you might be so glad you took them) I love the mountains since we moved--and we even get rain alot. The mountains are green where we live and so I imagine we get alot of moisture.

Valerie, You are a brave mother, but you have some great kids too, so I think you will all have a wonderful time visiting familiar places and seeing friends!
Enjoy the mountains!
